A few days ago we commented on the new products that GlobalSat is planning to release during the next month. We have just received an email from Karen which confirms that they are also planning to release their LATEST GPS... the BT-328 (Spanish version). It is a SiRFIII chipset but this time Globalsat has taken great care in the design of this GPS, therefore we have dubbed this product "little brother of BT-338” which we also reviewed in PCDM when it was released. In spite of the slim profile of the BT-228, GlobalSat claims up to 16 hours of operation on a single battery charge... although it does have a power-saving feature that shuts off the unit automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity. In any case, when we test the unit we will provide our comments to you ; - )
Note: It is not a SiRFIII but a SiRF GSC2 of low costs and consumption and discharge sensitivity.
